Padded Walls

by Mish   Jul 23, 2005

These padded walls they keep me safe. The Men in white are really nice. They give me this jacket to keep me warm. They ask me how I'm doing. I say I'm always fine. When they turn away that’s when I start to die. I like these padded walls of mine. They keep me safe. No one can come in and no one can go out. I just sit in here holding onto myself. Every time I see the men in white. I ask them to tear out the pieces of my heart. Place them in a little box and send them back to you. They look at me with a tear in their eye. Those pretty eyes of blue. Without my heart I feel no pain. When you broke it that’s when I went insane. You cant see it and only I can feel it. Perhaps one day you’ll realize just what you’ve done to me. All the pain I cant escape, all the pieces torn. As long as my heart is still in me, it belongs to you. All the pain will be here for you to come and take away. My heart will be here for you to come and fix. But until you come to rescue me, I sit in here with my padded walls, my warming jacket, and the men in white with the pretty eyes of blue. I went insane because of my love for you.
