I See You in Me

Thoughts, feelings, emotions.
I see you in me.
Your eyes held the same remorse that I once held,
I see you in me.
Your tears of pain that you let escape, I wiped away,
Please cry no more, they mean more to me than what others can fathom.

Broken, falling, bleeding,
I see you in me.
Your soul is ruptured, your heart broken,
I can only give to you advice from what I already know.

Allow me to grasp your heart and perhaps I can mend it in time,
No words I may say can change the way you feel,
But know that only my words are words of wisdom,
For I see you in me.

I cannot change what you are feeling, or know the darkness thatruptures your soul,
But I know where you stand for I have embraced those same emotions,
I see you in me.

Perhaps in time your heart will mend, if only I could be there for you along the way,
But I know I can only do so much,
Before I need to let you be.
I know it hurts, I've been there before,
If only you could understand that,
I see you in me.

Lost you may be but I know you shall redeem yourself on your journey through this thing we call life,
I can only hope and have faith in you,
You mean alot to me my friend,
For I see you in me.
