Never be

We've gone out a couple of times
yet we can never be
everybody wants us apart
thats why we can never be
theres been lots of problems
between you and i
yet 4 some reason
we can never be
we've tried it over and over again
so why can't we be
i wish i knew
because u always tell me
we can be
i want to and so do you
so just answer this
why can't we be together..........
