Never let go (ever)

It still feels like only yesterday,
goodbye was said and then she drove away, I just stood there and watched her drive out of sight,
then I finished up my smoke and walked back inside, all of a sudden the loneliness set in and I cried out loud, "will I ever see her again!"
Then my heart started to pound, my eyes burst with tears as my buckling knees caused me to fall to the ground. After a while I finally gathered up my strength and pulled myself up off the floor,
I took a deep breath and then I heard her knock on the door, at first I thought it was just my imagination, but it wasn't so I wrapped her up in my arms with little hesitation.
She said to me, "I came back because you're my life and you're my home, you're the only boy my love has ever known." I looked her straight in the eyes and said, "now that you're back I won't ever let you go."
