Summers end

by Emma   Jul 29, 2005

Summer came
like a whisper
dancing
in her hair,
wishing he would
care,
to dream
to stop
this carousel
until he heard
truth
he'd brought back
youth
laughing in her eyes
wanting him, she realized
she loved him still
until,
too late...
but time
would never wait,
would never be
and she was free
for sand castles
and dreams,
the summer schemes
so sweet
so sweet
so new, so old
story told, heavens blend
her love lives on
until summers end.
