Dust

There are somethings you can count on
somethings you can trust
somethings stay forever
but somethings fade to dust

you know the sun will always shine
and the seasons will come and go
the clouds will clear
and the falling leaves turn to snow

i thought that this was like that
that it was something i could count on
but today i came to find
that everything we had, is gone

you turned your back on me
said "i'm sorry" and walked away
you turned my world to dust
and that was all that you could say?
