Every Night My Cambrian

~A new Awakening
********************
Pardoned unto now a new mile of contempt, the blackguard new an elder inquisition caroused of our suspicion. Sentinels await by the doors of our painted dungeons, stayed within this palace and our bars its stolid corridor…where forever rains herein this sullen mood, begetting our surer freedom.

Hope berates our oncoming hero, stranded as we’re reliant on our ghoulish caretakers.
Separated a clear sky wherein our boulder, we’re tempered forthwith its subtle torture. And we repair, pliant after sessions too long of crying slanted; bloody from its din had cut off from our thoughts.

And no longer lingers such humanity as hope creates, furrowed under brow this last breath. Another hero taken, brought unto his death as each are we expected, secular is our raven. Gaming within our venerable hearts a memory apart, this offal existence; sweeping down this hall of repercussion.

Before we’re slain and recreated, let me pray as not we’re sooner damned. Essential of this night breed, feed for a fortnight until we’re joined among its undead horizon. Maimed for when it comes, acknowledged when we’re turned…
As soon to be reborn, not so much that we are dead

Standing from my old reflection, encumbering memories weighted souls…
Torn in this aftermath but without my prison…
Brandished in this husk my foreign skin which covers me *lifts his arm before his baleful eyes*. I dare not recognize myself within, for fear therein some greater Hell exists.

I shan’t grow wiser subsisting as this night breed. Every night my Cambrian, and each dawn I clamor on my tomb…indifferent thence my sires made me last they fled.
…So long ago

Incredible writing, like so many professionals before you! Waiting upon the hero, but those perish, the hope, the mood. Magnificent, the word flow together so well, stirring an unimaginable strength but somehow revealing human weakness. Great work!
