Clinch

by Paradise   Jul 31, 2005

You are present before me
As a rare, remarkable creature
A Blessing, A Gift
Much desired by my heart
Causing me to clinch
I Clinch
Resisting to release my hold
I've tried to relieve myself of you
So I can breathe again
I want to dream again
You are the ideal mold of my soulmate
Your purpose and distinctive character
Your physical features that dominate my attention
Clearly it is evident that your being is an ingenious design
Created by the ultimate artist
My GOD
Only he can bring into existence
The marvel that is you, to that I clinch
Still it stands my embrace is in vain
Fruitless
I question the struggle you have with me
How am I losing the battle to become a part of your world?
My redemption may be far gone
Yet I patiently await that moment
The precise point in time
When you eyes adore me
Your spirit encourages me
Your heart loves me
Just as I adore, encourage, and love you
Until that is my reality
It is to that hope I will continue to Clinch
