OH, HOW I LOVE HER ...

by Phil   Jul 31, 2005

I gaze at the sweet smile upon her face
And long for the warmth of her loving embrace.
The way she sees me, straight to my soul
Inability to have her, now taking its toll.

She was first my friend with dreams of being her lover
But the fact still remains, she belongs to another.
The connection is there, we knew all along
It should have come sooner, our timing was all wrong.

Our desire and longing, ours only to hide
We dare not voice what is screaming inside.
She bears his name and she owns my soul
Our passion forbidden, yet knows no control.

I yearn for stolen moments
yet it tears me apart,
But regardless of consequence,
she will always own my heart.

Oh, how I love her.
