Too Many Times

by Amy   Aug 6, 2005

Too many times have i pretended not to be mad.
Too many times have you allowed me to be.
Every time you've known how I've felt.
Every time you chose to ignore me.
I have given you the best of me.
You have yet to comply.
You take credit for all you do.
When I'm generous I get left high and dry.
Too many times you say you need me.
Once I am there you do your own thing.
Too many times have i forgiven you.
Nothing ever gets better or changes for me.
You take me for granted you have not learned.
I'll be gone if this continues.
My memory of you will burn.
Clean up your act and just try to be,
The man i wanted to marry and the guy that loved me unconditionally.

I have felt this way before. I know exactly where you're coming from. It's very good.

Reminds me of my "Don't" poem a little. I understand what you mean. It's difficult to give someone your all, and it feels like they take advantage of it with not giving you anything in return. Well, good job on the poem. I enjoyed it much.

    Kudos,
