Finding Love

The human race
Is surrounded by love
People eat it, breathe it, taste it
Everyone wants truelove
We see, hear, and say it
But does anyone know what it really means?
Even I want somebody
But finding truelove isn’t as easy as it seems
We see it in the movies we watch
We hear it in the songs we listen to
We say it to one another
Just because that’s what we think we should do
I want a man
Who is just like the typical movie guy
He’ll miss me so much
He’ll make an excuse to come by
I want a man
To write me a love song
One so full of romance
Everyone will want to sing along
I want to find that perfect man
Who I can say I love you too
And actually mean it
Not just because that’s what you do
My vision of him
Is never going to come true
I always pick the wrong guys
It’s the best thing I do
I guess I’m just not destined
To be with that special guy
I guess I’m meant to be alone
So I’m not going to let my hopes get high
