No One Ever Really Cares...

by sarah k   Aug 10, 2005

She hid all her feelings she kept them inside
Knowing they’d stay there ‘til the day that she died
She also hid scars that lay on her wrist
Along with the cuts and the blood on her fists.
The bottles of pills stayed hidden from sight
They only appeared when the day turned to night.
Her tears remained hidden, locked in her eyes.
Her bottle of liquor silenced her cries.
The only thing seen was the smile she shared
All knew it was fake but no body cared.
Then one day it happened, she broke down inside
She slit both her wrists and lay down and died.
She left a short note for her family and friends
Letting them know why her life had to end.
“This wouldn’t have happened if you chose to see
What’s behind this fake happiness. What’s really wrong with me.
I just wanted love from my mom and my dad
But it wasn’t just that so dad, don’t be sad.
My friends wouldn’t listen when I needed an ear
So I locked up my feelings along with my fears.
My boyfriend was useless. He just wanted sex
I wouldn’t co-operate so he made me an ex.
So with a heart full of problems unable to mend
I was left with a solution. My life, I would end.”
And with that last line she signed her full name
Along with a P.S. “I’m the one to blame.”
So she ended her life to rid her of pain
That killed her inside and drove her insane.
