Empty Harbour

Empty Harbor

Here I am
Empty Harbor
Embraced by the
soothing green of the
island waters,
thin layer of mist
in the horizon
Inhale the sweet fragrance
of the faraway greenery
and your distant love,
carried on by the wind,
the tune of your voice
drifts and dances around me
But you are not here
All there is
is just an empty harbor

The trees on the other side
looms over me,
orphaned leaves fall
twirled and twirled
slowed by the breeze
fell delicately on the waters.
They drift slowly toward me
I dip my fingers into the
green clarity, and swirled.
air, earth and water
meeting and merging
I see myself on the mirror
surface of the water, but
you are not there,
you are not there at all
All there is
is just a lonely girl

In this place of peaceful
and quiet beauty, in this
place where shadows can
only hold hands, this
heaven I wish only to share
with you, but you are not
here, I can only earnestly
wish to hear of your voice,
if not, your footsteps
will do, but I hear nothing
but the breeze, the same
breeze that brought your lips
to meet mine, on a gentle day
like this, I can only wish
for our laughter to fill this
paradise, I wish for you to
complete this heaven

In this empty harbor,
I stand, I can still hear
the tune of your flute,
a simple tune mixing with
the wind, forming a sweet
melody that accompanies me
wherever I go,
but I cannot feel your presence
is this all there is to us?
If I wish hard enough, will
you be here with me?
Will you come back here
to an empty harbor and
look for me? Will you come
and play your flute for me?
Is there anything left here for you
in this empty harbor?
