The Gambler

by Kaizer   Aug 12, 2005

What we have is ours but with what content?
What we want we get but with misery spent.
Thus the cards are shuffled, they're dealt and seen, by each one caught in another's dream.

Now it all comes down to the bluff or stall or who's got jacks or queens to call.
The aces are high but the jacks are wild, the queen of spades in her mischief smiled.

Now the queen of hearts by a clever lark, decides to bluff but she's not so smart,
She was caught off guard by a clever spade ・a king with threes and tens to trade.

And she's taken by this smooth new king, who's smile embodies suffering.
But my heart is shaken Cause what do I see? A wondrous beauty awaiting me!

She's a diamond child with a bitter smile and she plays her hand with a wondrous style.
And I know she's all that I'll ever need, and I dance with her in slow reprieve.

Now I take her hand and I make her mine,
And in my dreams her beauties shine.

(Three queens) 的知 in!・But the dealer's call, he holds the balance of the fate with all.

And as each hand now shows his fate,
I'm breathless as the others wait・
I play my hand and what is shown?
Two queens, a three, two tens ・that's all!
Three aces take the greedy pot.
Well let them have the filthy rot!

Cause the diamond child is up my sleeve!
