Our First and Last Kiss

by little birdy   Aug 15, 2005

If I could do just about anything,
I'd kiss you during a storm
Standing outside on a street
Your kiss, so gentle so warm

If I had really taken that chance
To be with you for one more day
I'd kiss you no matter where we were
No matter what people would say

However no matter the time or place
I'll never get another chance
To be the one to kiss you last
So much for our perfect romance

Thinking I had all the time in the world
The moments hit me so fast
I suddenly see that I lose it all there,
My kiss isn't first, nor is last

I didn't get, to be the one
Who gave you your great smile
I"m sorry I didn't think it through
I'm stuck like this for a while

While I'm thousands of miles away from there
I long to be with you
I want to be your weakness
Since you're my weakness too

But most of all I want from you
Is as simple as this all is...
I want to give your smile to you
By giving you our first and last kiss
