Diamonds

by April G   Aug 17, 2005

Love is like diamonds, they are so cherished at first but the joy soon wears off. Soon the person gets boring, you want them to love you as much as you love them but they never do. It’s like quicksand sucking you in a relationship and not letting you out, the more you try the harder it becomes to make that person love you. The person just goes about doing their job and expecting you to do everything they say. You are left without any help to care and cherish a love that is no more. Every night you cry yourself to sleep asking if this is right. You decide it cannot be if you are never happy, you are going to be free. To love someone else who cares. You secretly love that first person still but you knew love only lasts when he loves you the same or more.
