High School Love

I regret what is happening, I wish it wasn't real
My eyes are done crying but my heart still feels
Today I saw you again, the 1st in a long while
And when you sat next to me, my face and heart smiled

My hand to your hand, feeling your skin to mines
I looked into your eyes as they gazed into mines
My heart was beating fast, breathless for a few
Thought it was because the first day of school, but it was all you

My leg was shaking dramatically, shaking the whole table
Tried to calm down, but I wasn't able
I could tell you were glad to see me with that smile on your face
I know that in your heart, I have a secret place

I thought about you all day, just couldn't get you off my mind
Looking at the clock, just watching time go by
I wanted to see you again, it was sad but true
And as I walked down that hill I spotted you

Chilling on the corner, you with your boys Im with my girls
I tried to walk pass you, tried not to say a word
But then you had to do it, you asked me for a hug
That's when everything rushed back, from memories to love

I can't believe what is happening
Im praying that it's not true
I refuse to be falling again
Back in love with you
