She Walked Away

She walked away, just like that
There was nothing left to do
She walked away, just like that
She couldn’t live with loving you
She walked away, just like that
Away from all the lies
She walked away, just like that
To somewhere safe where she could cry
She walked away, just like that
To shatter all memories
She walked away, just like that
To lock the doors; to lose the keys
She walked away, just like that
To forget all there was
She walked away, just like that
She did it just because
She walked away, just like that
Hoping you might still look
She walked away, just like that
Regretting all you took
She walked away, just like that
The sun was setting then
And her heart was numb, and her eyes were wet, as her heartaches played again.

**One of the first poems I wrote, I hope its okay.**
