The First Time

This is the kiss I could never forget,
I wanted it so bad it became a threat.
We spent so many hours in conversation,
Thats the day it came to my realization.

That I was terrified to receive just one kiss,
Because I knew it would trap me inside your bliss.
I knew if our lips met, there was no turning back,
I was scared that it would lead us off track.

I remember it like it was yesterday,
Oh please let him kiss me, Oh God I pray.
This is the kiss I will never forget,
I wanted it so bad it made me sweat.
We were lying there together on our sides,
You watched the movie while I watched your eyes.

When the movie was over you still played with my hair,
I think that's when God answered my prayer.
Just as you ran your fingers down to my hips,
You slowly leaned over and planted a kiss on my lips.
It was so incredible it sent chills up my spine,
I knew that second that He had to be mine.

A couple days later you asked if you could call me your own,
It was like a dream, a place so unknown.
My thoughts I tried to recollect,
I finally feel complete, I knew
that if I kissed him I'd never forget.
Exactly what would happen when our lips first met.
