Watching and Waiting

by Feathered Ice   Sep 20, 2005

She watches him through lowered eyes
Look up? She does not dare!
for fear he will catch her gaze
and meet her stare for stare

He tilts his head ever so slightly
runs his fingers through his hair
and she feels her heart jump inside
A pain she cannot bare

She loves him, but she's scared
that he might think her weak
if he perhaps should talk to her
and she tremble when she speak.

And though she knows they can never be
she does not seem to care
For she is happy just to sit
to sit and watch and stare...
