It can never be

I see him walking,
he's heading this way.
i look left and right,
what do i say????'

he stands in front of me,
i dare not look up.
i can feel my palms sweat.
he slams my book shut.

he stares into my eyes,
i stare into his.
maybe it will happen,
my one lasting wish.

i stand up on my feet,
step away from my desk.
he walks me up front,
i cant help but think 'yes!!'

i point to the map,
he smiles, nods his head.
i feel so embarrassed,
my face turned bright red.

he gestures me to go sit,
i go take comfort in my chair
I'm just hoping and praying,
that he's not aware.

aware of the way,
the way i want him so bad.
i love the way he smiles,
i love the way he gets mad.

i sit down and think,
how can this be.
this man is my teacher,
he can never love me....
