My lost angel

He told her what was in his heart
She answered with indifference
He thought if he did she would start
Removing round her heart the fence

She knew not he already knows
That she won't even try to mend
The wounds that she already caused
He thought that time would make her bend

He knew the times she had been through
She knew not he had been there too
She thought that distance was the best
Way not to get hurt like the rest

The fear she had, she did not show
She did not want a soul to know
That behind her arrogant face
Hides an angel filled with grace

He trusted her cause in a dream one night
He saw her, an angel standing in his way
She smiled at him, her eyes shining bright
She reached out her hand, and both flew away

He fears the angel dies and he
Is certain she is not aware
That if the angel breaks not free
The face she wears will become her...
