I met you during a night that we would go to a dance
I didn't know you well, but I gave you a chance

We danced the night away
I wished you would stay,
And be with me everyday

We were together for about five months...
Thats when other guys started their hunts...

They made me think that you and I didn't belong
But that whole time I figured they were wrong

If I thought this why did I go along?
Because I was stupid enough to pay attention to every lyric to every song...

I heard them and learned them and I thought they were about me
But they weren't so how could this be?

I broke your heart so many times...
Now I see why you won't be mine

We were so close we were never apart...
But then I went along and broke your heart...

Do you ever think we will have this true love back?
Or is it gone , vanished , just like that?

I thought you would give me that chance...
But i guess that chance was that night at the dance...

I'm Sorry for breaking your heart...
Then waiting too long to come back in your life...
I wasn't going to give up without a fight..

But you wanted me to let go because you had moved on...
Now I'm the one listening to heart breaking songs...

I dedicate this poem to GJ the one person I love...
