Dawn

by ~*~ April ~*~   Oct 6, 2005

The valleys are full with lush,
green, wonders.
The rivers awaken when the lights are turned on.
It begins as sweet silence
and when you think
That the peacefulness will never end...
The wind comes and the birds scatter
And the tall, long trees drop dew
When they blow against the wind

The calls of the animals
Fill your ears with noise
And you wake
But all is again silent
All is gone
All is lonely
The awakening party has left
Leaving you wondering

The corrugate iron rattles still
As the gum trees blow peacefully silent
And the sky becomes a pale blue sea
Filled with life and mystery
