Burning My Desires

by Nicholle   Oct 11, 2005

I tried to do what's best,
As I stood under the rain,
crimson tears fell down my face,
as my life went up in flames

I have done what I had to,
Burned away my past,
Artificially got rid of all those
feelings that were bound to last

On that paper I had written,
My deepest desires and feelings for you,
and once I lit it all up,
I proved to myself we were through

Those thoughts and words I wrote,
are now floating throughout the sky,
perhaps one day you'll notice them,
while I sit down and cry

But that's just my fantasy,
I know it won't come true,
Because you never think of me,
Like I always fantasized about you

But no more need for me to worry,
As I have moved on,
When your love for me comes running back,
You will notice my love for you has gone

By burning ur desires and ur feelings away it'll be the next step to moving on from forgetting him... but it doesnt mean u hav relinquished all your feelings but its always a try so fight your feelings and you'll have me and all ur other friends there for u step by step

You have a wonderful skill for ending lines, such power in a subtle sentence. Very well done indeed.
