You Said

You said to meet me in the park,
near that fountain,
where Autumn sun and tress looked over us
where my first kiss with you
being left in the reflection of glistening water.

You said that it was important,
so I rushed as fast as I could,
like my heart beat when next to you,
my head upon your chest.

You said I will be there,
I finally saw you,
in middle of path,
running back into your arms,
like always,
however...it feels different.

You said that you had to tell me something special,
but standing in pathway,
eyes met,
embraced with hug,
no kiss came through lips,
just words,
"...I have to leave you..."

You said that everything will be ok,
yet I said that you can't
crying within your arms,
while you silently wept,
giving me a last kiss,
I wish it wasn't.

You said to close my eyes,
so my eyes were held shut,
feeling hands letting go of his,
drifting away,
when I tried to look at you one last time,
you vanished,
like so many leaves on fall days.

You said that you will come back soon,
yet two months roll by,
and so do the tears that roll down my face,
so I'm sitting on that hill,
waiting for your presence next to me,
to come back from the shadows,
and comfort me...
...wiping tears from face...
...but now...
...what will I do without you...?
