The Tree of Forever Falling Leaves

by Prince Enigma   Oct 14, 2005

One by one, like cascading waterfalls
Tan, yellow, brown, red and green
Filling the air with falling stars
Most calm, beautiful and serene...

Mending the heart with endless tears
Gently falling from the sky above
Under the tree of forever falling leaves
We reminisce our boundless love...

As winter comes the leaves still fall
Like snowflakes each are unique
In different shapes, sizes and colors
I give you a kiss on the cheek...

Wondering where they all come from
As infinite as the water in the sea
Nature's mystery to never be revealed
I crave our names into the tree...

The birds and squirrels gather around
To cherish this moment of my life
Throwing her into the pile of leaves
I ask her on one knee to be my wife...
