The Breath of Dragons

by Elizabeth Ann   Oct 15, 2005

These shadows deceive my peace, hath I settled, left of mine solitude, and thus I’m driven here.

Agued by darkness, I’ve missed the lightened hue of ages last, crowning the fateful more glorious. Primal rains run, as quests design our modern reign, and it’s here I deign to be. Head of man, guide to charge abroad our wary foe.
So have our queries run, aghast by what our heaven brings
Forthwith our enemy’s summoned, a haunting retribution, brewing under me, and there the balance maims.

Crawling suitors rise, flashing claw, and I short my breath for those unworthy. While at last my rider sings. Crashing an eternity, diving toward a battled wasteland
