A Fools Faith (JRT)

by sinister   Oct 17, 2005

I've been played for a fool
More times than I'd like to count
Knowingly and unknowingly I've been used
Used up and discarded like garbage

Why does this happen to me
And why do I let it happen
I'll see a heart-break a mile ahead
And RUN straight into it
Like a moth to a flame
I'm self-destructive like that

I've been played knowing I'm being played
And I've been played only to realize it later
And I've probably been played and I still don't know it
Which ever way I'm my heart is a popular board-game
And they love to play me

Roll the dice and lets see my faith
Do we play with him some more
Or do we end this pathetic charade
Call My Feelings
I'm such a fool

And I suppose it's a fools faith
To be played with
If so, then faith definitely
Has not passed me by
