Oh my beloved Trinidad and Tobago

Strange these feelings I'm feeling
Strange are these days that are passing
Is Armageddon upon us
Or is this just our self-destruction

304 murders in 291 days
4 bombings in the 4 months passing
If these are the signs of the times we living in
Then its time to take down the signs

And instead of a unification
There is a greater segregation
Among my people of this great nation
With no participation and little communication
By our elected considerations (officials)

Help us Oh Lord
For it seems we can't help ourselves
Before we turn on one another
Make us realize this is my brother
