You Found Me

by David McIntosh   Oct 23, 2005

Forever alone when you lose your first love

No one else will ever have a chance

You may learn to laugh, and you may learn to Dance

But with empty heart the years will advance

It may be 10, 15, or 20

The number of years will sometimes feel funny

You can't break away for it's all that you know

So you press on each day with heavy heart in tow

If you're lucky enough to find that first love

When you see her again, it fits like a glove

Then something inside seems to come alive

That smile in your heart starts laughing outside

You found me Michelle, and I'm sure you could tell

The minutes we share turned to hours then days

Then weeks and months and years will slip away.

The love that we had is still there today

Nothing or no one can ever take it away
