Stray

She was alone but somehow felt like she was at home
She embraced her new found land with the passion of the hungry
But time has come where she must venture off,
To find her home, where she will live out her days
But first must go to a place where there is no distinction between rich or poor
A place where she might not survive
A place where the big rule and the little perish
But someday she will escape and live the life that destiny has planned
As tears role down my face she is gone and I can stop it now
I should be happy, she will rejoin who she is meant to be with
And now I will sit and wait till another stray comes and comforts my needs.
