Miner birds

by tadesse   Oct 26, 2005

The miner birds are taking flight
Off into the darkest night
Where they go where they be
Nobody knows except you and me

their wings are black their hearts are cold, looking at one steals your soul

a knowing look in their eyes
tells of a past life
where strife and pain are the same
driving your mind insane

wrong from right right from wrong they're eyes are forlorn
crimes committed now acquitted drive their hearts to unknown parts

judging minds over time makes it feel so unreal
so they're bound and forever so
to search for souls

piercing eyes a knowing look
that's all it ever took, to make a man forget his name and cause him undying pain

that is the story of the birds
there it is word for word
if you doubt if you ask
then you will be rewarded at last
