Colors of the Wind

by Jocelyn   Oct 30, 2005

The wind is fierce,
Blowing the frail maples,
Making these
s.t.a.t.u.e.s o.f n.a.t.u.r.e,
Look as if they are,
Blazing with a RELENTLESS WILDFIRE.
One by one,
The paper-thin leaves,
Float slowly to the cold,
Chilled,
Forest floor.
The dirt paths,
The fractured tar of the roads,
Covered
In the most beautiful of colors,
Creating a rainbow,
in which e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e is apart of.
