Alaskan Twilight

by Lewis   Nov 2, 2005

Waking up from a
light, light sleep,
I step out into the
cool winter night.

Looking up into the
sky above, I see the
great dancer of
the sky. Aurora
Borealis is her name.

Every winter night
she performs for the
people below. Putting
her luminescent
colors to work.

Dancing like the waves
of the sea, her colors
flow with her movements,
style and technique.

The performance is
over, now she must
depart. Aurora Borealis
please don't go.
