Eternal Pain thats Not Eternal

How long must I endure this pain I feel ,
This deep pain that seems so unreal.

This pain runs through me veins each night ,
I'm sleepless , thinking everythings gonna be alright.

When I wake up to each new day ,
Something tells me its all gonna be okay.

Then this feeling of pain sets it ,
thinking of you again and again.

Heartache , pain ...its all the same ,
This pain from you cannot be explained.

It runs so deep I can hardly bare ,
The plain as day truth , that you'll never be there.

Day by day this feeling fades ,
The pain from you will soon fade away.

As time goes by,another love I gain,
Still feeling for you this eternal pain.

I wrote you a letter a couple weeks ago ,
It told you how I felt , you had to know.

I started anew with a love that wasn't you ,
He was different , nothing at all like you.

I didn't think of you because I didn't care ,
By now , my heart has been repaired.

Then you called me one night , outta nowhere.
I cryed a little , but told myself not to care.

I went outside and called you back ,
Seein you name was like steppin on a tact.

When I heard your voice , I wished you were here.
You said "Yeah" , and my eyes began to tear.

I ask you why you called me ,
You tell me "Cuz I'm sorry."
I tell you " Yeah ,I'm sorry too...
For ever meetin you!...."

You told me about Kristen ,
I can't believe I listened.

I yell and scream at you about how you never even left town ,
That's the whole reason why you left me , so you could sleep around.

My hair on my arms and neck stand up , I cry....
Only because now ,I truly know the reason why.

I ask you why you left me , why you lied , just why....
Why you said you loved me , why you made me cry.

I ask you why you said you loved me ,Then did what you did to me.

You tell me "Becuz.....I DO love you.
I just didn't know what to do."

Yeah you lied and made me cry ,
but atleast now I know why.

It hurts when the one you love lies to you ,
But thats exactly what you did to me.
You led me on then dropped me.
