Plastic

by Daniel Alexander   Nov 4, 2005

Carved out of stone
Visage without tears
Blanched and marble
Void of all fears
Plastic and perfect
Crashes to the ground
Shatters like glass
Pieces all around
A lithium sunset
Meets the eyes
Of utter abandon
Filled with lies
And as the night breaks
In it's blackening
The world all around you
Spreads and takes wing
And you crumble slowly
Down to dust
Knowing solely
That you must
Be no more living
Than a ghost
Shrouded in secrets
Feed off your host
Collapse to nothing
A shadowed hope
Hung from feeling
By a traitor's rope
Like so much plastic
You start to decay
You were so special
In that certain way
