Silent Black

by Sara   Nov 4, 2005

Your words slip through the night and find thier way to my window,
They echo from years before and haunt my nights.
I am left with only the memory of your whispers,
Slip into the shadows and disappear in the lights.
I feel your lips as they graze across my skin,
Your arms wrapped tight around my waist,
Hand behind my head, lie slowly on my pillow,
These old dreams leave your kiss with an empty taste.
I live in the past, breathing in aged colognes,
Staring into eyes that are no longer staring back,
Singing stale songs with bitter words,
Sitting in rooms that are still silent black.
