The Inner Storm

by AnotherJournalEntry   Nov 7, 2005

I had to write this for school::
A poem that describes the storm brewing during the story as well as brewing within the characters in “The Interlopers”

A dark storm rages outside
The open window of the house.
A dark storm rages inside
The closed hearts of two families.

Wind blowing fiercely -
Threatening to erupt.
Hatred growing strongly -
About to unwind.

The trees are
Violently moving.
Enemies for generations
Mercilessly fighting.

A tree crashes down
On two young men.
The battle between them
Paused for now.

The generations of fighting
Clashes in a moment.
Like a storm in nature,
Fighting will end.
