Waves

by Vivek S   Nov 7, 2005

Rumbling and tumbling, gurgling and gushing
Retreating suddenly, like a bride blushing
Formed in a flash; a second later, broken
The overwhelming waves of the mighty ocean.

What strength and might! What power and force!
Pushing a million gallons to the waiting shores!
There is no stopping to this juggernaut
Try it if you can (I suggest you better not)

Fearless souls may try to conquer this beast
Or try and pose a challenge, at least
The monstrous waves towering up to the skies
Will swat them away like pestering flies.

What this teaches you, my friend, is no small matter
A vision of destruction can be made from just water
If such a small creation can make the mighty ones fall
What about Him who created it all ?
