Through eagles eyes

by Zach Cambria   Nov 8, 2005

I drifted among-st the clouds
Looking down upon the earth so still,
Gazing over rolling hills
That brought my heart to sudden chills

I soared a top an Eagles feathers,
Gliding through the toughest weather
To stand, to strive, to reach, to endeavor.

Watching as time go by so fast
As I flew among-st the sky-
Scattered memories spread out vast
Simply strolling on by

To see the stars in full bright shine,
Abroad an endlessly dreamy line
To be scattered there so tenderly-
As I gazed across the blackened sea-
Of speckled lights that lay before me
In all their humble triumphant beauty.

And then to see the sun rise from above the clouds in where I stay,
To see the break of dawn for yet another nearly perfect day-
With the unfeigned sincerity of an angelic choir,
As I watched within me burned a fire
Of never ending joyful bliss-
From the opulent glory-I was overturned
By the pure yet subtle happiness.

Could it be that I was merely blind
Before I saw this beauty clear,
Through eagles eyes without a fear
As I sat among-st the clouds-
Sincereâ?¦.

And is it now that I can truly see
The broken road that lay out before me?

I sit above the sky so blue that lay above the trees,
With beauty housed below,
Enough to bring you to your knees,
I see the leaves drifting downâ?¦
As they are carried away by a dancing breeze.

As I soar upon an eagles wing
All I wish to do is sing
