All Alone

by Tamon G   Nov 11, 2005

All alone.
Staring at the thousands of stars,
that we use to reach for,
but never could.
We never cared how far
they were,
we always said to each other,
that one day we would.

I remember the time we sat in front
of a campfire,
and said our greatest desire.
My desire ended with "but I never",
but with you my never turned into
"but I'll love you forever".

Hearing noises in the woods,
and having no one to make me feel
safe, or to hold.
Now I remember you know all my fears,
you're the only one I have ever told.

I wish when I close my eyes,
I'll wake up to you right
next to me.
To be the first thing I touch,
to be the first thing I see.

I swear I just saw you right here,
but I'm still by myself, and on my
own.
I'm in the same position I was
at the beginning,
I'm still
all alone.
