Anthony this was such a great poem. I'd first like to apoligize for the way you were treated. Racisim pisses me off so so bad you have no idea. Secondly I know where your comeing from. My best friend is black and I'm white. People thought it was weird to have us being "best friends" and we are different colors. But after awhile people got used to it. So much that you never see one without the other. People are even saying we look alike. A lot of people gave us crap about it trust me. But what got us through is we went along with it. When I was with my best friend and other black friend we made up a song called oreo. I called my best friend Choccy and she called me Nilla. We just laughed at it and knew we are who we are. All are created equal regardless of what other people think. You need to think of it as this...your proud of your race arent you...well ok wouldn't anybody be..If a white person is racist and are proud being white..They'd be the same way if they were black..proud of their color..so why are they racist at all ya know? Just ignore it as much as it hurts and annoys you. Be proud of who you are and be strong!! It worked for me and my best friend. People know we're sisters at hear regardless of color! This was a great poem Anthony! you get a 5 from me!

That's a really true thing in life today. In my sociology class in school we've been takling about racism. It sucks.

Powerful poem. You could scream loud enough for the whole world to hear all day long and it would never fix anything. Some are just stuck in their ways and they teach their children to be the same. That is what they were taught....so YOU must be strong as it will always be a part of life. The funny thing reading this is last night I walked into Walgreen’s with a friend and a guy at the counter called me a nigger lover. Caught me off guard...at first I got angry and then I thought to myself....he doesn't know him nor me so how can he judge. Be you...that's far more beautiful than anything they will ever know. This poem is excellent...It hurts to see anyone has to endure such pain. I've gotten this torment from family so I, in a sense can really feel this piece. Excellent write Anthony!

    Anthony ,
There is such a stronge message in this poem that I wish the whole world would see ..
Anthony I know you just from our group and your posts and I feel your pain but I also feel your strength ..
Your determination to spread the cruelty of rascism will make a difference . Even baby steps eventually grow into leaps ...
You are beautiful inside and out no matter of race or color ....
Love ya sweets , and I still think you're a hottie ......Muah !!!!
