Regrets

by Justine   Nov 12, 2005

In the dark forest of the night.
There lies a young girl.
Her eyes oblivious to the sky.
She's surrounded by a growing pool
A growing pool of blood.
She's slowly dying.
she'll never see the light of day again.
Nor the darkness of night.
Though she's lived in it for so long.
No one knew of her growing depression.
Nor of her mind slipping deeper into the darkness.
She's tried to end it for so long.
But never succeeded till now.
Lying in a pool of her own blood dripping slowly from her slit wrists.

She woke up gasping for air.
What a dream she had had.
She looks down and realizes that she had slit her wrists and passed out in her bed.
She no longer wants to die.
She works up all her remaining energy and screams for her Mother.
Her Mother comes running and see's what her daughter had done.
By the time the paramedics arrive it's too late to save her.
But just before she took her last breath of air,she apologized to her Mother and said that she loved her and she never wanted it to go this far.
And then she slipped out of consciousness into the sweet welcoming arms of DEATH.
