Memories Stained In Ink

by tati   Dec 14, 2003

As she sits
Lonely by herself
She remembers it all
As she goes to a shelf

She picks up a letter
Reminding her of it all
How the void used to be filled
And how after her life took a fall

A letter in her hand
Feeling the distance between them
A tear falls and smudges the ink
As she feels how much she misses him

That ending letter that he wrote
Every word brought her pain
As he told her it was over
And that they wont be together again

She examines every letter
On this old piece if paper
Wondering how his feelings
Could disappear like vapor

Silence filled with her cries
She feels as if she cant live
Without him in her life
She has nothing to give

She knows she wont love again
Her love for him sinks
She will never let him go
Memories stained in ink
