Not Ready

by Cheryl   Nov 14, 2005

A smile begins to spread across my face
As I look into your deep brown eyes
But all the while I try to make believe
That our love isn't based on all your lies

For you have said good-bye too many times
And I want this to be the last
God I wish my heart would stop racing
Things with us are moving way too fast

We've been down this road before
And you know I'm not ready
I'm sick of this burden on my shoulders
This load is getting way too heavy

I don't know your past history
And you've cheated on me before
If you don't stop pushing me now
I'll be forced to show you the door
