Hospitalized Heart

My heart is in critical condition
it is being hospitalized for a fatal disease
doctors don't think it will recover
it doesn't get visitors
it is slowly darkening in color
nurses call in a specialist
but he can do nothing
they try stitches,glue
and even strong medication
but it is gradually cracking
doctors must operate at once
by the time they call in help
my heart has turned black
it is now cracked
torn and tattered
broken and bruised
