The Twelve Days Of Halloween

by Ashleigh Skye   Nov 20, 2005

*This poem is based on the song "The Twelve Days Of Christmas.. read it just like that song"

On the first day of Halloween an old love gave to me, a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the second day of Halloween an old love gave to me, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the third day of Halloween an old love gave to me, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the fourth day of Halloween an old love gave to me, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the fifth day of Halloween an old love gave to me, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the sixth day of Halloween an old love gave to me, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the seventh day of Halloween an old love gave to me, seven swords a swinging, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the eighth day of Halloween an old love gave to me, eight graves a glowing, seven swords a swinging, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the ninth day of Halloween an old love gave to me nine demons dancing, eight graves a glowing, seven swords a swinging, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the tenth day of Halloween an old love gave to me, ten witches casting, nine demons dancing, eight graves a glowing, seven swords a swinging, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the eleventh day of Halloween an old love gave to me, eleven candies moving, ten witches casting, nine demons dancing, eight graves a glowing, seven swords a swinging, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.

On the twelfth day of Halloween an old love gave to me, twelve corpses creeping, eleven candies moving, ten witches casting, nine demons dancing, eight graves a glowing, seven swords a swinging, six devils waiting, five shrunken heads, four rotted tongues, three dead bats, two restless ghosts, and a skeleton hanging from a tree.
