Just like an Icecube on a Hot Day

The sun gets hotter,
panicked.
beads of sweat running down my cheek,
pools of misery soak my feet,
my mind shuts off.
all reasoning lost,
and still the sun gets hotter
slowly it rises higher
into what was once my savior,
my icy blue abyss.
Nothing I do can still this
as control is not an option
all I can do is wait
and watch the sun rise higher
melting my icy being
entirely out of existence.
