It Was Worth It To Me

I loved him so much.
It just wasn't to be.
I know he will find someone else,
Who will set his soul free.

He is such a wonderful man.
He deserves so much more.
The one he finds and marries
Will love him more than anyone before.

I was the cause
For so much pain.
Neither of us will be the same
Because of the feelings that we gained.

We didn't make the best choices,
Now we have to pay.
The pain and suffering
May never go away.

Somehow it will work out,
We will both move on.
We will hopefully stay friends
And have a lot of fun.

I owe him a lot.
He made me a better person.
I hope someday
He will feel it was worth it.
